Softball
Once girls are out of Tee Ball they will go into the softball program where we offer several different leagues based on their age. They start in coach pitch and move up to kid pitch after two years. Each year more rules are added and by the age of 12 they are playing real softball.
Ages
8U is for girls ages 7-8 which is the first year of coach pitch.
10U is for girls ages 9-10 and is the first year of kid pitch.
12U is for girls ages 11-12 and is the first year of real softball.
When
The Spring League will begin at the end of March and runs through June 30.
Where
Most practices and games are played at Kyle Park with an occasional practice at City Park. Kids in F-Minor or older may have one or two games at a neighboring partner city for an away game.
Practices
Practices begin at the end of March or early April. Most teams will practice at a designated day and time 2-3 times each week on a designated field or batting cages.
Games
Each team in every league will be scheduled a minimum of 10 games each season. The season will begin the last Saturday in April and will run through the middle of June. Each league will have a season ending tournament after the regular season ends.
Jerseys
8U uniforms consist of a team jersey, pants and socks.
10U uniforms consist of a team jersey, pants and socks.
12U uniforms consist of a team jersey and socks.
Extra Costs
Every player in each league must have their own glove to play. It is also highly recommended that each player have their own helmet. Bats can be shared among teammates.
